That’s OK. We’ve all been there. I had a vision of how I wanted my life to be, where I wanted to live, what I wanted to be doing. Then I embraced three simple steps, started taking ACTION and moved forward until I was here. Sitting on my sunny terrace, listening to the toucans sing and watching squirrel monkeys play in the trees. Whatever your dream, whatever you believe is holding you back, you can unlock a life you love. Let me take you by the hand and show you how it’s done. You can work towards living your ideal life, and enjoy yourself in the process.

#1 The Wait Is Over

“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” – Benjamin Franklin

How often do you find yourself saying things like: when I lose weight, when I finish school, when I get a raise, when I finish this project, when I win the lottery (!), then I will find my perfect job, fall in love, travel more, read more, go to a yoga class, etc… I’m handing you your permission slip to stop that negative self-talk immediately. Those things may never happen. And if they do happen, guess what … you will find other things that you need to wait for. This is how we trap ourselves into a lifetime of waiting.

Stop waiting. Start living.

#2 Confront Your Fears

Waiting (or what I like to refer to as “living in neutral”) is often driven by fear: Fear of being rejected, fear of losing control, fear of the unknown. But life is full of unknowns. We cannot know what tomorrow brings; we only know what is happening in this moment.

  • What are your fears about stepping into your truly radiant self?
  • What or who is holding you back?

Listen to the part of you that tells you to wait, that says you’re not ready. What is he/she trying to protect your from? Embarrassment, financial loss, failure, shame? Keep digging until you find the underlying fear. When you notice, acknowledge and confront your fears, they begin to lose their power.

#3 Choose Intentional Action

Blog 2Shift your focus from the things you can’t control, from the things you are waiting for, and choose to take action where you can. Each day, let go of control and choose LIFE. Choose to wake up every morning feeling radiant. Choose to be healthy, happy and harmonious with every thought, word and action. Choose to love your body, choose to stand up for what you believe in, choose to love with all your heart + soul, choose to do things now rather than waiting for that “perfect” moment. Things will always come up and try to get in the way of living a healthy, happy and harmonious life. That is just the way it is…That is a Sanguine Life.

Remember this, life is like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs and unforeseen twists and turns along the way. But by saying YES to life, you’re releasing yourself from being held back from doing everything that is truly possible. Stop waiting for the perfect time, stare your fears full in the face and shout ‘ENOUGH! I’M READY’. Take back control of your life, state your intentions and start taking action.
